CHECKLIST FOR A SUCCESSFUL HOME SHOW (modified
Thank you for doing a book show! My most successful hostesses shared these tips
with me. I hope they will help you earn FREE all that you have on your wish
* Set a goal of reaching the $500 level or above. At this level you will earn
TWO 1/2 price items. (Make them the most expensive product or Hostess Only
offer. This will give you the exclusive at maximum savings!) You will also
receive $50 in free products. Be sure to look at this month's flyer to see what
the Hostess Bonus is.
* With bookings you will earn wonderful FREE products, starting with only ONE
booking and increasing in excitement AND value with more bookings. Ask all your
friends to book ann in-home or book show! They will have fun getting together,
seeing the products and learning new ideas!
* Please call, mail or email your orders by ________________. (see bottom of
page for contact information).
* Enclosed are Wish Lists and flyers. Also enclosed is a shipping and tax chart
to calculate your orders easily. Call if you need anything more.
* Emphasize to your friends that you are taking orders for just a short time.
Make sure to fill out the order form completely with name, full address and
* Ask if they have any occasions coming up that require a gift. Our products
make wonderful gifts! With our new RANGE of products from basket, pottery, and
wrought iron to delicious food items there is sure to be SOMETHING for EVERYONE!
* Be a "McLongaberger" - "Would you like a liner and protector for your basket?"
We love our baskets more when we have them completed with protectors, liners,
etc. ! They will thank you! I suggest getting a protector for all baskets!
* If you need to drop off a Wish List or flyer for someone, tell them you
will call the NEXT DAY to get their order.
* I take VISA, Master Card, and Discover! Take their name, card number and
expiration date! Individual check orders should be made out to me.
* Have you ever thought of becoming an Independent Longaberger Home Consultant?
You have done all the work! Instead of giving me a nice commission, this could
be one of your first shows. I truly love what I do and I know you would too!

You have made the decision to host a Longaberger show! You have EVERY reason to
be excited! Not only will you have the opportunity to receive items at 1/2
price, but you may also earn FREE products while enjoying a relaxing
presentation with friends. The following tips are designed to help you achieve
the most you can out of your Longaberger show.
VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE
Invite a wide variety of people - friends, neighbors, club and school friends,
family, church members, co-workers - do not PRE JUDGE their interest. They're
sure to love SOMETHING in our new VARIED line of products!
Usually about 1/4 to 1/3 will be able to attend. So invite more than you think
you can accommodate!
THE EARLY BIRD CATCHES THE WORM
Deliver or mail your invitations 10 - 14 days early. Save some money by using
postcard stamps and keep some extra invitations in your purse to hand out to
friends. Make reminder calls and gather RSVP's a couple days before your show.
It's so easy to forget!
MAKE REFRESHMENTS LIGHT & EASY
Light and easy refreshments are best. It is easier on you. I have some samples
of our new food products for you to mix up and serve. This will help a lot. Let
me know what you would like!
Try to collect these early. We will try to close your show within 2-3 days of
your show. Collect as many of these as possible - they can increase show sales
very quickly. I will be happy to equip you with extra Wish Lists and flyers as
you need them.
Now only will you be giving a friend the opportunity to enjoy the same benefits
that you have received, you will also earn wonderful booking gifts (the value of
these gifts increases as you obtain more bookings!). Even if you you re-book
from yourself you will get a gift!
